The holder is for a padlock with elongated hasp (14), particularly where the latter is completely detachable from the body. A filler body (18) inside the hasp has fixing devices (38) enclosing its arms and securing it to a support (10) particularly a bicycles frame (10). The filler body extends from the padlock body for nearly the full length of the space inside the hasp including the curved end (14b). It can be in the form of a plate with a grooved edge along the periphery, fitting round the hasp arms and curved end.
