PURPOSE:To prevent cogging from being generated, by permitting a rotor with the different magnetic pole pitches of a plurality of magnetic pole sections arranged on the peripheral surface, to be confronted with a stator having a plurality of stator teeth formed at a specified tooth pitch. CONSTITUTION:The respective stator teeth 2 of a stator 1 at the pitch Ps of the constant interval of 20 deg. for example are wound up with excitation coils 5, and exciting current is switched by an electronic switching means. A rotor 4 confronted with the stator 1 is rotatably supported in a rotor slot 6, and on the peripheral surface, magnetic pole sections 3a-3f composed of six poles are formed. The magnetic pole sections 3a, 3c, and 3e are composed of poles N, and the other pole sections are composed of poles S, and on the pitches of the respective magnetic pole sections, a space between 3a and 3b is set to be 60 deg.+20 deg. /2, and a space between 3b and 3c is set to be of 60 deg.-20 deg. /2, for alternately different values in order. Cogging torque from the magnetic pole sections(3f, 3a)(3b, 3c)(3d, 3e) is offset from each other to be of antiphase. As a result, the rotor 4 is smoothly rotated without cogging. |
