<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide power supply to the residents of coastal areas, located either further away or closer to the coast. The floating unit can be either fixed or moving. Permanent installation is achieved by stabilisation thereof on the bottom of the sea by using appropriate flippers or by anchoring on harbour arms. The engines producing electrical power, the auxiliary machines, such as pumps, the air compressors, the transformers etc., as well as the staff quarters, can be installed either within or on the surface of the floating unit. The floating unit for production of electrical energy is comprised of one vessel (1), the vessel's engine-room (2), the electricity generators (3, 4, and 7), and the areas of staff service and lubricant storage (9).</p> |
