PURPOSE:To polish an end face easily and favorably and remove a deposit when blood or dust, etc. is deposited on the end face of a fiber and seized onto it, by rotating a polishing body which is brought into contact with the end face of the fiber of a laser probe, with a driving means. CONSTITUTION:When a laser probe 5 is used for a surgical operation and blood or dust, etc. is deposited on the optical end part of a fiber 7 and seized onto the part, a motor 1 is operated to rotate a polishing body 3. And, as the end face of the polishing body 3 is brought into contact with the injecting end face of the fiber 7 to carry out polishing, the blood or dust seized onto the injecting end face of the fiber 7 can be removed, enabling the fiber 7 to be used again in a normal condition. Accordingly, since it is not necessary to replace the fiber 7 with a new one each time blood or dust, etc. is seized onto the injecting end face of the fiber 7, the laser probe 5 is economical compared with the conventional one in which the fiber 7 is each time replace. |
