Multi-stage thread suck-off device

For sucking off threads especially from high-speed drafting-unit galettes, a multi-stage suck-off device having a conveying channel and a plurality of annular nozzles opening into this is described. The device is characterised in that, at each opening of one of the successive annular nozzles, the thread-channel cross-section widens in a step-shaped manner by the amount of the opening area of the annular nozzle. In addition, the conically extending annular nozzles achieve an acceleration of the flow in the edge regions, so that a uniformly high force effect is exerted on a thread to be sucked off.
