The invention relates to a device for mould changing on injection moulding machines. The aim and object is to find an economical, functionally reliable low-wear solution with which the moulds are relieved of static and sliding friction forces during horizontal introduction and clamping transversely to the slide-in direction and during exchanging, with simultaneous improvement of the possibility of clamping to the clamping plates and increase of the energy supplies to the mould. For this purpose, the mould is introduced on elastically mounted longitudinally displaceable roller bodies which are disposed between the lower columns in the mould space. Said roller bodies are attached to the fixed mounting plate on a bracket and to the movable mounting plate on a transverse bearer by means of which the slide shoes are connected. The transverse bearer is displaceable in the longitudinal direction on rolls which are guided in cages and roll on the slide shoes. The guide of the mould is carried out by means of mould contours in the roller bodies, counter-contours in the mould and spacer lugs on the fixed mounting plate. The clamping cylinders and the lifting cylinders axially parallel to the clamping cylinders are arranged between the roller bodies for the coupling strips of the energy supplies. Fields of application of the invention are devices in which moulds have to be exchanged frequently, for example injection moulding machines for plastics processing or die casting machines for metal processing.
