A securing means (1) (Fig. 1) serves to fit, for example, insulating panels on ceilings or similar walls. The securing means exhibits profile rails 3 which enclose in each case an insulating panel or the like and, by means of their ends, are laterally plugged onto a connection holder (4) in the form of a plate. The connection holder (4) can be fastened on a wall with the aid of a screw engaging through a bore (17). In addition to the joining means, formed by slots, for the profile rails (3), the connection holder (4) exhibits connection means (12) for diagonal struts (13) serving as a mounting aid. By means of said diagonal struts, a correctly angled positioning of the connection junctions is achieved without having to check measurements. <IMAGE>
