A probe (1) for introduction into the digestive or excretory tract of the human or animal body, in particular a lithotritic probe with an elastically-bendable guide tube (2) consisting of coil turns (8) mutually adjacent in its longitudinal direction, a core (3) movable therein, a clamping element (4) supported on the outer end of the guide tube, said element engaging with its clamping element (5) on the core (3), and a manipulation element (6) on the inner end of the core (3). Whilst ensuring easy gripping of the stone it is necessary to maintain the necessary pressure-resistance of the guide tube (2) of the probe (1) in order to crush the stone. This is achieved by the fact that the guide tube (2) is provided on its inner end (7) with a plastically flexible guide piece (9) for the core (3), the length of which (1) corresponds essentially to the movement length required for manipulation.
