V-belt pulley in which a counterdisc (7) is arranged in a manner which allows it to be displaced axially relative to a main disc, the effective pulley diameter thereby being varied and/or the V-belt pulley being set to a different width of V belt. A threaded ring (3) with an external thread (5) is arranged on the hub (1) of the main disc (2), being rotatably mounted but restrained axially. The external thread (5) of the threaded ring (3) is in operative connection with the internal thread of the counterdisc (7), and, after an adjustment has been carried out, the main disc and the counterdisc can be clamped to one another by eccentrically arranged screws (8). The width of a V-belt pulley of this kind is infinitely variable and retightening of the V belt is possible, too. <IMAGE>
