PURPOSE:To obtain an improved electric charge injection preventive function by forming a charge injection preventive layer composed of layer regions obtained by alternately laminating 2 kinds of ultrathin films in plural times, and rendering the thickness of the ultrathin films near another layer region consisting of a single thin film less than those of said laminate ultrathin films located farther than said near ultrathin films. CONSTITUTION:The photoreceptive member is formed by laminating on a substrate 101 the charge injection preventive layer 102 made of a nonmonocrystalline material containing at least silicon atoms, a conductivity governing substance, and one of O, C, and N atoms, and a photosensitive layer 103 made of an amorphous material composed essentially of Si atoms. The layer 102 has the ultrathin film laminate structure obtained by laminating at least 2 kinds of ultrathin films different in at least a part of constituent atoms in plural times, and the layer 102 has a layer thickness of 30-10,000nm, and each of the constituent ultrathin films has a thickness of 1-15nm, preferably, 1-10nm. |
