A description is given of a device for the releasable positive connection of a part in shaft form to a hub part, in particular a probe shank to a probe holder, adjustable clamping means for the purpose of subjecting a shaft part to a clamping force transversely to its longitudinal extent being provided on the hub part. The hub part holding the part in shaft form is designed essentially as a hollow-cylindrical sleeve, the wall of which is provided on the side opposite the introduction of clamping force with a cavity which extends at least over the length of the said part.
