PURPOSE:To ensure controlling operation by operating only a light emission point for the emission of a control beam among plural light emission points at the initial operation of the recording and/or reproduction. CONSTITUTION:In applying a recording signal, a control signal and an erasure signal respectively to terminals (a)-(c) at the recording, a light emission section 7b is lighted to emit a control beam 4. With the control beam 4 subject to focus control by a focus error signal outputted by a light receiving system focused onto a disk face, the light receiving quantity received by a 2-split photo sensor 18 is maximized. Thus, a level signal obtained by integrating an address signal being a sum signal of the 2-split photo sensors 18 exceeds a prescribed level compared by a comparator circuit 25, an output signal of the comparator circuit 25 is inverted into an H level, the output signal of AND gates 22,23 is inverted into an H level and light emission sections 7a,7c are lighted. Thus, the operation is started surely. |
