A device for regulating the dosage of a fluid component in a carrier current medium, for example volatile narcotics in an oxygen carrier current, is to be improved such that the amount to be metered corresponds to the concentration in the narcosis gas, whereby the changes in the properties of the carrier medium are to have no effects on the concentration measurement. For this purpose a reference detection element (3) is provided in the line (2) carrying the carrier medium, which line is connected through a reference signal wire (18) to the control unit (16) designed as a comparator.
