Dual position fastener for fixing together, in removable way a closing panel to a cabinet for electronic equipment, comprising a cylindrical pin (2) and a resilient boss (1), the boss having an axial opening (3) for insertion of the pin and an annular groove (5) for fixing the boss in an opening of a cabinet wing, the wing providing a ledge for the closing panel, the pin having a threaded tong (11) with a ledge expansion for fixing to the closing panel and a cylindrical portion for insertion in the axial opening of the boss, the cylindrical portion having a diameter equal to the diameter of the axial opening and two toroidal reliefs (8, 9) having greater diameter, one at the end of the cylindrical portion, the other at intermediate position, so as to define two stable fixing positions of the closing panel to the cabinet, a first position in which the boss is located between the two toroidal reliefs and the panel is suitably spaced apart from the cabinet wing, the second position in which the boss is located between the intermediate toroidal relief and the ledge for the closing panel.
