VAPOR DEPOSITION TYPE RECORDING MEDIUM AND IT'S PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To improve durability by providing a coating layer in which a fluorine- contg. lubricant equiv. to 0.5 monomolecular layer or above remains even after cleaning by a good solvent onto the surface of a vapor-deposited layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the vapor-deposited layer is subjected to an activation treatment by a plasma treatment or glow treatment and thereafter, the coating layer in which the fluorine-contg. lubricant equiv. to 0.5 monomolecular layer remains or above is formed on the surface thereof by an operation for coating the lubricant. The surface is clean and contaminants do not stick to the vapor-deposited film right after the formation of said film. A lubricant layer having the secure bond is formed as the contaminating layer does not exists if the layer in said state is subjected to the coating of the lubricant or the like. The still durability is thereby improved.
