PURPOSE:To reduce the manhour in printing and the manhour in composition of a sheet to lower a cost of a pressplate, by a method wherein respective sheets are so composed as to shift from each other by a predetermined distance and a printing character on the pressplate is correspondingly laid over the shifted portion of the each sheet. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge sheet 1 consists of sheets 1a shifted from each other by a dimensional difference l. The portion for printing the page number, i.e. the portion corresponding to the dimensional difference l, is made transparent and a frame for an arbitrary item to be written by an operator is printed on the each sheet. On a pressplate 2, printing characters 2a are spaced from each other the distance equal to the dimensional difference l between the sheets 1a so that the sequential page numbers are to be mirror characters. The pressplate 2 is laid over the respective sheets 1a with the printing characters 2a meeting the the portion between the respective sheets 1a shifted by the dimensional difference l to print successively the page numbers on the respective sheets 1a. The sequential printing characters 2a are printed all together on the all sheets 1a in position due to pressure by a squeegee 3. The page numbers of mirror characters printed on the reverse of the respective sheets in the above way can be read from the surface of the transparent sheet and input information can be changed in such a manner that the sheet is set to a multi-item input device 4 and the required page, e.g. page 20 in the figure, is selected; here, the selected page can be visually identified. |
