PURPOSE:To obtain a natural-wood tone facing capable of freely being colored, by a method wherein; on a substrate, a desired lightness pattern of a natural-wood veneer is printed with an achromatic-color printing ink and thereon an irregular pattern is formed with an ultraviolet-curing ink and a chromatic-color clear is applied to all over the surface. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate 1 of a mineral board etc., coating of a sealer, bonding of a precolored paper, and the like are applied to form a primary-coat treatment layer 2. A desired lightness pattern of a natural-wood veneer is printed with a black-series achromatic- color ink on the surface of the substrate to form an achromatic-color ink layer 3. A printing method capable of exhibiting clearly a variable-density pattern, such as a screen printing, is preferably employed. On the achromatic-color ink layer 3, an irregular pattern preferably 50-200mum thick made of projected portions of a woodgrain pattern 4 of the natural-wood veneer and recessed portions of conduits 5 is formed with an ultraviolet-curing ink by a screen printing and cured with an ultraviolet-curing ink by a screen printing and cured by ultraviolet-light irradiation. The ultraviolet-curing ink such as a translucent unsaturated polyester containing a solid content 80% or more is used. After the surface of the projected portions are abraded with a sand paper, a desired chromatic-color clear 6 is applied to all over the surface of the substrate. The chromatic-color clear gathers thick at the portion of the conduits 5 to have a deep color, thus making the portion of the conduits clear. |
