PURPOSE:To reduce an effect of a printing rate in the previous line and improve the printing state of a low density by making the heat generation intermittent at the border of adjoining pixel and forming a single pixel with a plurality of dispersed color-developing dots especially in low-density printing. CONSTITUTION:An output signal C4 of a counter is selected as an ON/OFF signal for a printing head to represent a time elapse in a system control 10 by comparing data obtained through conversion by an address conversion means 1 which data C4 using a comparator 106. The data C4 is a value which increases monotonously from 0-15 every printing in a single scan, and this value is converted by address conversion means 1. After conversion, when data C10<=C5 (C5 represents data converted by a density conversion means 105), the printing head is set to 'ON' state. Because of 'OFF' signal provided at the beginning and end of a single line, a cooling time is provided between dots, and a heat historical density nonuniformity can be avoided. Therefore, the nonuniformity does not appear except when a printing of maximum density is performed continuously, thus improving the printing significantly. |
