PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which is capable of producing a rolled stainless steel plate having excellent surface gloss efficiently with excellent cooling characteristics and lubricity without causing slippage, by mixing an ester of an aliphatic monohydric alcohol and an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, a monohydric alcohol, an emulsifying agent, and a refined mineral oil. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is obtained by mixing as essential components 5-40wt% ester (A) of a 1-18C aliphatic monohydric alcohol (a) and a 6-18C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid (b) (e.g., octyl palmitate), 3-40wt% 8-18C monohydric alcohol (B) (e.g., lauryl alcohol), 0.5-10wt% emulsifier (C) [e.g., polyoxyethylene nonylphenyl ether (n=5)], and the balance of a refined mineral oil (D) so s to provide a viscosity of the composition of 2-15cst (40 deg.C). |
