PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion inhibiting property of a corrosion inhibitor, the defoaming property and the stability in water by using a reaction product o an alkanolamine with boric acid. CONSTITUTION:This corrosion inhibitor contains a reaction product of an alkanolamine with boric acid and further contains glycols so as to improve the stickiness. An antifouling agent, a defoaming agent for removing fine foams and a preservative may be added as required. For example, the corrosion inhibitor is composed of, by weight, 15% reaction product of monoethanolamine with boric acid, 10% ethylene glycol, 3% propylene glycol, 35% triethanolamine, 0.3% benzotriazole as an antifouling agent, 0.2% 2-ethylcaproic isobutyl ester as a defoaming agent 5% boric acid and the balance water. |
