<p>PURPOSE:To surely perform the reproduction of a pilot signal, and to obtain stable tracking, by detecting the kind of a loaded magnetic tape, and varying the recording current of the pilot signal to a prescribed value corresponding to a detected output. CONSTITUTION:By the combination of receiving light of light receiving element 6 provided at an identification device 5 being installed oppositely to the ignition hole 4 of a tape cassette 3, the kind of the tape is identified at a judging circuit 7, and an identification signal is supplied to a recording amplifier 10. Also, a speed signal from a speed change-over switch 8 is outputted to the amplifier 10, and switching is performed so that the recording level of a pilot signal system in the amplifier 10 is raised by around 3dB, in a state of fast recording by an evaporation type metal tape. In this way, at the time of fast reproducing the evaporation type metal tape, the pilot signals recorded on the both sides of the magnetic tracks of a video signal are surely reproduced, and the stable tracking can be obtained.</p> |
