PURPOSE:To execute multiplication with respect to all combinations of a positive number and a complement of two, by converting display data of a complement of two to a positive number, and thereafter, executing multiplication of each positive number, and executing a multiplication correction corresponding to a multiplication mode. CONSTITUTION:The titled multiplier is constituted of means 1, 2 for converting a multiplicand X and a multiplier Y to a positive number in accordance with a multiplication mode, a memory device 3 for obtaining a result of multiplication by using an output of the positive number converting means 1, 2, and a multiplication correcting means 4 for correcting the result of multiplication obtained from the memory device 3, in accordance with the multiplication mode. In this way, it is possible to obtain a multiplier using a digital memory device having high generality, which does not require a rounding processing means of the post-stage, and also, can execute selectively multiplication related to a combination of all data of a positive number display and a display of a complement of two. |
