摘要

Aliphatic cpds. contg. oxygen are reacted at 160 degrees C min. under O-2h atmos, on a cryst. aluminosilicate zeolite catalyst with SiO2:Al2O3 ratio of >=12:1 and constraint index of 1-12. Prods. are used as high octane fuel and as source of pure aromatic cpds. An extremely wide range of aliphatic raw materials may be used, with their associated impurities, including prods. derived from fossil fuels e.g. coal and oil with >2% S content. Reactions may be carried out under very severe operating conditions, and petrol of over 75 octane rating obtd. compared with 50 from Fischer-Tropf synthesis.
