The device comprises end covers (2) of the male and female coupling type. During the prodn. process it is cast onto each of the ends of the pile section. The end cover of the male coupling is formed on its end surface with a central projecting grip head. This head has a number of projections extending radially corresp. to the number of corners on the pile section. Radially inside the projections extend anchoring irons running from the cover end surface into the pile section end part. The projections (6) extend peripherally in relation to the nearest corner of the cover so that a coupling socket (5) anchoring iron (7) can extend in a straight line parallel with the longitudinal axis of the pile section without risk of collision with the normal corner reinforcement (3) in the pile section.
