<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an automobile door opening and closing device which is cheap and highly reliable, by providing, to a door, a lock member which is movably held on a movable bracket. CONSTITUTION:In association with the motion of an arm 20 which moves a piston rod 52, the rod 52 is engaged with the end part of a door hinge side having a narrowest opening width. When the rod 52 is further moved, a lock bar 36 is moved in the same direction by means of an engaging member 42, to a second postion wheher it is not engaged with a center pillar 40. Since the arm 20 takes action to open a door 22 at this time, this action is transmistted to the door 22 through the engaging member 42, the lock bar 36 and a bracket 26 to open the door upto a predetermined position. After a robot 16 performs required painting through the opened door, the arm actuates the above-mentioned steps for opening the door 22 in the reverse order.</p> |
