The time-delay switch, after receiving and processing the pulsatile signal, will switch the mains network onto the teleceiver input with a time delay ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes. If no composite-video signal is detected by the composite-video detector, the latter will block the self-hold switch of the time-delay switch so as to disconnect the mains network from the teleceiver input.
