Process and plant for chemical matting of glass articles.
<??>The process is characterised in that it consists in passing the objects to be treated continuously through a sealed tunnel and subjecting them, during their transit, successively, to cleaning by spraying a solution based on hydrofluoric acid, followed by draining, then to matting by coating the surfaces to be treated with an appropriate solution based on hydrofluoric or hydrochloric acid with the aid of vertical liquid films through which the said objects pass, followed by draining, and then to neutralisation by spraying water followed by rinsings, also by spraying water.
