The present invention relates to a device for curling and/or straightening hair. This device comprises a casing 10 which carries two heating branches 20, 30 which are generally parallel and capable of relative displacement between a closure position, in which the branches 20, 30 bear via their opposite inner surface 21, 31, and an opening position, in which the branches are spaced apart. According to the invention, the internal opposite surfaces 21, 31 are convex and have a radius of curvature greater than that defined by the outer envelope of the two branches 20, 30 in the closure position. <IMAGE>
