The invention relates to a high power microwave amplifier. This amplifier includes an input divider network A with electromagnetically coupled parallel lines, having an input E receiving the signal to be amplified, and an output adder network B with electromagnetically coupled parallel lines, having an output S providing the amplified signal, and field-effect transistors T for linking the lines of the input and output networks respectively. The lines of the input and output networks are microstrips. Some ends of these microstrips are not connected up, whilst other ends are linked, either to the transistors, or to the input E or to the output S.
