The invention relates to a device intended to absorb and damp shocks and forces applied to any prosthetic elements fixed on an implant or aritificial root whose superstructure it constitutes. It consists of a capsule made of Delrin or any other biocompatible plastic material with a convex plate 1 supporting the base of the prosthetic element, pierced at its centre with an orifice 2 extended by a hollow cylinder 3 with a convex bottom 4, receiving the pivot of the prosthetic element; the edges 5 of the capsule are concave and covered with a fabric ring for physiological fixation and positioning of the gum. Under the effect of the forces, the plate and the bottom of the cylinder become depressed, returning to their initial shape when the forces cease. The device according to the invention is intended to be used as a force-breaker superstructure for any dental implant or artificial root. <IMAGE>
