Method for transferring information, without cabling, between a central station and work stations 3, all these stations being distributed along the circuit 4 of a trolley 5, characterised in that the information is carried around by the trolley and that: - a plurality of identity interrogation signals are transmitted 13 from the trolley 5 from the moment when the latter detects a station 2, 3 in the vicinity; - an identification signal specific to this station is transmitted 14 from the station in response to at least one such identity interrogation signal; - dialogue signals are alternately exchanged between station and trolley after stopping of the trolley, and - the trolley is sent on its way after an end-of-transmission signal.
