The subject of the invention relates to the technical sector of medical sciences, more particularly to means for holding a joint of the splint type. According to the invention, the joints relating to the reinforcements 1 and 2 are of different types, namely: an internal joint, shaped and arranged with means in order to allow limited movement corresponding to the physiology of the knee and an external joint shaped and arranged with means in order to allow flexion/extension movement with rotational components corresponding to the physiology of the knee, the lower reinforcement 2 being furthermore fitted with means making it possible to adjust for bow-leggedness. <IMAGE>
