PROCESS FOR OBTAINING LOWER MOLECULAR WEIGHT MATERIALS FROM COAL

摘要

Coal of low degree of carbonisation is converted into low-molecular products by treatment with a liquid which contains a polar organic liquid as the main constituent. The treatment is carried out at elevated temperatures and pressures in the absence of a catalyst and reducing gases. The liquid is then separated from the converted coal.
