PURPOSE:To enhance raw storage stability and to obtain an image high in contrast by incorporating a development inhibitor in microcapsules. CONSTITUTION:The microcapsules contain the development inhibitor, preferably, represented by the formula shown on the right in which X is a photographic inhibitor residue; L is a divalent group; A is H, amino, OH, COOH, its salt, sulfo, its salt, sulfino, its salt, alkyl, (e.g., methyl, ethyl, i-propyl, butyl, t-butyl, octyl, or hexadecyl), or aryl (e.g., phenyl); and n is 0 or 1. Said X is an organic compound residue known as an inhibitor or fog inhibitor in the conventional photographic sensitive materials, and it has, preferably, a silver salt solubility produce (pKsp) of >=10 in the water at a temperature of 25 deg.C. The microcapsules to be used are added in an amount changed in accordance with the kinds of development inhibitors to be used, but usually, in an amount of 0.001-2.0g, preferably, 0.005-0.5g in terms of the development inhibitor per 1m<2> of the heat-developable photosensitive material. |
