PURPOSE:To attain equal velocity linear scanning with high accuracy and high resolution by arranging a parallel plate on the back of a hologram disk and correcting the aberration of a scanning beam by a hologram lens arranged in front of the hologram disk. CONSTITUTION:The titled scanner is provided with the linear scanning hologram disk 12, the parallel plate 11 arranged on the back of the disk 12 and the hologram lens 13 arranged in front of the disk 12. Laser beams radiated from a semiconductor laser are made incident upon the disk 12 through the lens 13 and linearly scanning light beams 16 is generated. The light beams 16 are made incident upon the plate 11 and converted into equal velocity linear scanning light beams 17 to form an image on a photoconductive drum 15. The aberration of the image formation point is corrected by the preceding hologram lens 13, so that image formation with high resolution can be attained.
