PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency by testing the continuity between a press-contacting type terminal and a coated electric wire simultaneously with the pressing-in process of the coated electric conductor wherein a bottom die which supports a press-contacting type connector is elevated to the top die. CONSTITUTION:When the bottom die 2 which holds the connector C is elevated, the contacting position of a cam follower 37 to an arm cam 36 changes from a holding section 36a to an open section 36b and a connector support arm 29 moves a holding/opening part 35 away from the top surface of the connector. Consequently, the top die 10 engages the connector C and the coated electric conductor P is pressed in the electric wire storage recessed part of the connector C by the top die 10. Then, plural test pins 25 fixed to a test pin holder 24 are inserted into test pin insertion holes (g) of the connector C through test pin forward/backward movement holes 23 and conduct to press-contacting type terminals. In this state, a continuity test between the pins 25 and the electric conductor P is taken. Thus, the operation efficiency is improved.
