PURPOSE:To duplicate the normal or mirror image of an original film even to a normal silver salt film by the same device by moving a movable mirror away from an optical path and photographing the image of the original film on the 1st film for duplication or putting the movable mirror on the optical path and photographing the image on the 2nd film for duplication. CONSTITUTION:When the image of the original film 2 is duplicated as a negative image on the 1st silver salt film 2, the movable mirror 16 is moved away from the optical path extending from the original film to the 1st silver salt film 3 during exposure and a latent image is formed on the film 3 and then developed and fixed. The image of the developed negative film 3 is in mirror image relation (right-left inverted relation) with the original film 2. Then, one film is brought into contact and both films are exposed to transfer the image of the 1st silver salt film 3 to another film reversely. Further, the film is developed and fixed to obtain a final positive duplicated film having the image in the same direction with the original film 2.
