PURPOSE:To contrive miniaturization and low power consumption by composing the titled device of an active matrix system liquid crystal displaying device formed with a thin film transistor even a vertical/ horizontal scanning circuit at a quartz substrate. CONSTITUTION:On a quartz glass substrate 1, a picture element 2 arranged in a matrix shape is equipped and at the picture element 2, a thin film transistor TFT switch 3 formed by a polysilicon or a silicon to re-crystallize the polysilicon is equipped. Further, a vertical scanning circuit 4 to drive the reading gate of a TFT switch 3, and a horizontal scanning circuit 7 to transfer a video signal inputted from an input signal terminal 5 to respective signal lines 6 in the sequence are simultaneously formed on the same quartz glass substrate 1. Especially, an MOS transistor necessary in the vertical scanning circuit 4 and the horizontal scanning circuit 7 is formed by a TFTMOS transistor to re-crystallize the polysilicon, for example, by irradiating the laser light and improve the film quality of the silicon. The circuit composed of a C-MOS is a low power consumption and the high speed action can be executed.
