PURPOSE:To branch or insert an optical signal without cutting off an optical fiber by constituting the titled equipment of a case forming a diffusing and reflecting surface on its inside, an optical fiber, a light receiving device and a light emitting device and arranging a transparent substance on the outer peripheral part to improve the efficiency of branching and coupling. CONSTITUTION:The titled equipment is constituted of the case 2 forming the diffusing and reflecting surface on its inside, the optical fiber 1 inserted into the case 2, the light receiving device 4 arranged so as to be turned to the inside of the case 2 to receive a signal leaked from an insertion part into the case 2 and the light emitting device 3 arranged so as to be turned to the inside of the case 2 to send a signal from the insertion part of the fiber 1 into the fiber 1. The coat of the fiber 1 is properly removed and used in accordance with necessity and an integrating sphere can be used as a case. In order to rise the efficiency of branching or coupling furthermore, a transparent substance 5 is arranged on the outer peripheral part of the insertion part of the optical fiber 1 to form an optical signal branching/inserting equipment. Consequently, light can be branched or inserted from a part other than the end face of the optical fiber 1 without cutting off the fiber 1 and forming an end face. |
