PURPOSE:To enable a recording medium having an anti-forgery property to be easily applied to various articles, by sequentially laminating a hiding layer, a thin metallic film layer, an IR-absorbing layer and an adhesive layer on a support base. CONSTITUTION:A protective layer 5, a hiding layer 1, a thin metallic film layer 2, an IR-absorbing layer 3 and an adhesive layer 4 are sequentially laminated on a support base 10. When the laminate thus formed is printed with information patterns by a thermal head, the information patterns formed through breakage and removal of the thin metallic film layer are not visually recognized, due to the presence of the hiding layer. However, when the laminate is irradiated with IR rays, the parts where the metallic layer is broken and removed have a low reflectance of IR rays, so that the printed information patterns can be read through utilizing the difference in reflectance. The protective layer 5 is provided for enhancing the abrasion resistance of the hiding layer. The laminate thus printed is laid on a desired part of an article so that the adhesive layer makes contact with the surface of the article, and is adhered to the article. Thereafter, the support base is released, thereby transferring this recording medium onto the article is enabled. |
