<p>PURPOSE:To enable the easy control for restricting the speed of an automobile running an extremely slow speed by providing a means for detecting the return operation of an accelerator pedal after being stepped down and shifting a clutch toward an OFF position on the basis of the detection of the return operation. CONSTITUTION:When the stepping extent of an accelerator pedal 17 is small, it is judged that the pedal 17 is being released. Or it is judged that the speed of an automobile is being restricted against excessive speed in putting the automobile in and out of a garage and against other driving conditions. Then, when the releasing of the pedal 17 has exceeded a predetermined level, the stepping amount thereof is memorized. Thereafter, a control device 23 reads clutch operation speed and position corresponding to the stepping amount, from a map and returns a clutch to a predetermined position at a predetermined speed via the control of an electromagnetic feed valve 15. According to the aforesaid constitution, the speed of the automobile can be easily reduced to a desired value simply by returning the pedal 17 to the idling side.</p> |
