<p>PURPOSE:To reproduce ID data without fail for a head scanning and to retrieve a tape position at a high speed with the resulted ID data by setting the tape speed at the time of retrieving to a special value. CONSTITUTION:When assuming the dividing number of tracks of the part wound by 180 deg. of the recording track of a helical scanning system magnetic recording reproducing device as M, data are recorded at the section of a divided track J%, ID data are recorded to an I place away from at the equal interval, the width of the reproducing head is (a)-fold (1<=a<2) of the recording track with and N is made into the natural number, a tape speed at the time of the highly speedy retrieving is controlled to an odd number-fold tape speed in the scope or near the scope of a formula 1 in case of a forward direction and a formula 2 in case of a reverse direction. Thus, the reproducing signal of an identifying signal recording part on a locus, in which a head scans the track divided at the time of the highly speedy retrieving, comes to be maximum output, the ID data used for the retrieving can be obtained without fail and the tape position to be retrieved can be found by using the ID data.</p> |
