PURPOSE:To obtain a disk driving device with a small wasteful time by positioning a head device to the fine track position of a recording track which is an object based upon the positioning information to the fine track position to a servo track. CONSTITUTION:The driving voltage of a motor when a head device is positioned at the fine track position of a servo track, in case of a stepping motor, a prescribed exciting phase and the exciting voltage value are stored, while the voltage value is held, they are returned to the original recording track, and then, a fine track position is kept even to the recording track. In case of the stepping motor, the exciting phase and the exciting voltage corresponding to respective steps of the number of the step equal to an 1/2 period are stored, they are shifted to the servo track equivalent to the exciting phase in case of the original recording track, the servo information is read, positioned to the fine track position, thereafter, the head is returned to the original recording track position equivalent to the same exciting phase, and by applying the same exciting voltage, the fine track position can be realized.
