PURPOSE:To enable direct imaging with a 'photon mode' by light by using a material which changes the absorption band of light by at least projection of light. CONSTITUTION:Plain paper is used as an object to be imaged and the fulgide deriv. of a photochromic material which is dispersed into a hot meltable binder such as wax is used in the form of fine particulate matter of about 20mum diameter as a photosensitive material. The absorption wavelength bands 14, 15 before and after the exposing of the fulgide deriv. are shown in the figure. The photosensitive material is then exposed by opening a shutter of the part desired to be imaged on the paper and no light is projected to the part undesired to be imaged, by which an image is formed; thereafter the paper is heated to the extent of preventing the melting of the photosensitive material to create a reversible product. Writing is thus executed. The photosensitive material which is not exposed does not stick to the photosensitive and material and can be easily removed by mechanical rubbing with a roller or brush. The writing device having the printing quality and speed equiv. to the printing quality and speed of an LCS printer is thus obtd. |
