PURPOSE:To concentrate all light beams radiated from a light source to an objective converging point and to improve the using efficiency of light beams by providing the titled device with a specific constitution for reflecting light beams radiated from the light source by a composite reflector. CONSTITUTION:The composite reflector in an illuminating device 16 is constituted of four elliptic reflectors a1, b1, a2, b2. Light beams reflected by the reflectors b1, b2 out of light beams radiated from the light source L are directly converged into the objective converging point F2. Light beams reflected by the reflectors a1, a2 are reflected by a plane reflector C and then converged into the objective converging point F2 from the reverse direction against the directly converged light beams, so that all the reflected light rays reflected by all the reflectors can be arrived to the objective converging point F2 without being interrupted by the light source L. Consequently, the using efficiency of light beams radiated from the light source L includes all light beams within the angle theta, so that the using efficiency of light beams can be remarkably improved as compared to an ordinary device.
