PURPOSE:To improve the ease of operation in that the wick can be raised or lowered only by operating an ignition/extinguishment switch by providing a transmission means that transmits the rotation of a motor to a which moving mechanism, and ON/OFF switch that doubles for ignition and extinguishment, a micro switch that controls the current to the motor, and a cam plate that gives a command to shut off the current to the motor. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition/extinguishment switch 59 is pushed in, the current is fed to a motor 39 to rotate it, but the motor is automatically stopped when a projection of a rotary cam 53 pushes a stop switch 55. When the motor 39 rotates, the rotary cam 53 is rotated clockwise to push down a descending plate 33. As the cam 53 continues to rotate, the descending plate 33 moves upward. Since a pin C26 of a movable plate 24 and a pin D29 of an actuator plate 28 are engaged thereto, the wick 5 is set at its high position. When the ignition/extinguishment switch 59 is pushed in while the motor stays in its 'wick up' position, the cam 53 is rotated to cause a projecting pin 53c to come in contact with a slider 37c. Then, the counterclockwise rotation of an extinguishment lever 37 disengages a pin D engaged with a stopper 37a to cause a counterclockwise rotation of the actuator plate 28 on account of a wick lowering spring to allow the wick to descend.
