PURPOSE:To prevent any effect from being given onto a voice data of other normal channel even if the voice data of a channel is in error by adding a parity signal only to one channel of the voice data. CONSTITUTION:One frame consists of plural time units and each time unit consists of l-set of channels and a parity signal Pij is added to the final time slot. Then one frame consists of n-channel, that is, l(m+1) channels. Thus, as to the voice data of one channel, a corresponding parity signal is added at each prescribed frame and as to a channel data in the frame not added by the parity signal, no parity is detected.
