PURPOSE:To enable assembly to be easily performed without requiring gap adjustment, by supporting a front part of a printing head assembly on a carrier frame bearing of a platen-shaft assembly mounted on a frame assembly, and movably engaging a rear part of the printing head assembly to one side of the frame assembly. CONSTITUTION:A platen-shaft assembly 1 having a platen 4 and a guide shaft 5 as one body with a predetermined interval therebetween is mounted to mount parts 7 of a frame assembly 2. A front part 9 of a printing head assembly 3 is supported on a carrier frame front part bearing 6 provided on the guide shaft 5 of the platen-shaft assembly 1, and a rear part 10 of the printing head assembly 3 is movably engaged with a guide part 8 of the frame assembly 2. Since the platen 4 and the printing head assembly 3 are prepared as sub- assemblies, there it no need for adjustment of a gap therebetween.
