PURPOSE:To automatically correct a rotary body whose angle range of correction is limited by controlling the operation of a correcting drill according to the possible angle signal of an angle range detector which detects an angle range setting means and generates an output. CONSTITUTION:An angle range setting part 12 which consists of a disk part 14 rotating in phase with a rotary body 41 is provided with a dog 11 as the angle range setting means which sets the correctable angle range of the rotary body 41. Proximity switches 13a and 13b which are angle range detectors are fitted to a balance testing machine main body 31 and detect the dog 11 to output a possible angle signal indicating whether or not the correction position of the rotary body 41 is within the correctable range. Then, when the possible angle signal outputted by the angle range detector indicates that correction is possible, a correcting drill control circuit bores a correction hole in the rotary body 41 by the correcting drill 38 and when the signal indicates that the correction is impossible, there is the possibility of breakage, so the correction hole is inhibited from being bored.
