PURPOSE:To fix an optical parts by an easy method by forming an axial slit in a cylindrical holder and inserting the optical parts into the slit, and performing spot welding at an optional position of the slit by laser beam welding. CONSTITUTION:A metallic cylinder is provided with the holder 1 where the slit 2 of fine width, e.g. <=0.2mm is formed axially. When the optical parts 3 is inserted into the holder 1, it is inserted as it is if the internal diameter of the holder 1 is larger than the external diameter of the optical parts 3, but if the internal diameter of the holder 1 is a little bit smaller, a tool is inserted into the slit 2 to widen its width and then the internal diameter of the holder 1 is increased to insert the optical parts 3 to a specific position by a dedicated jig. Two positions of the slit 2 are irradiated with a laser beam by a laser beam welder where the laser beam does not impinges on the inserted optical parts 3 and the base material of the holder 1 is fused at the positions to form a pot weld zone 1-1, which is cooled to contract the slit, thereby reducing the internal diameter. Consequently, the optical parts 3 is fixed in the holder 1.
